Our Team Profiles

Mike recently graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor's degree in Special Education Moderate to Intensive. Mike has been fishing throughout the Cuyahoga Valley National Park since he was a young boy growing up in Brecksville, Ohio. His passion for fishing and wildlife preservation, were some of the original ideas that made him want to pursue the start of Cuyahoga River Outfitters. Recently, Mike has moved to Montana to pursue his dream of guiding in the Wild West. 

Matt recently graduated from Ohio University  with a bachelor's degree in Environmental Geography. He also has a strong passion for environmental sustainability and the preservation of animal habitats. Matt learned how to fish from his father (John), when he was just a young boy. He thanks his father for introducing him to the Cuyahoga River and Cuyahoga Valley National Park at such a young age. Matt grew up in a small town called Northfield, Ohio which borders the CVNP. His passion for fishing and attachment  to the park and nature made him want to pursue the start of Cuyahoga River Outfitters.
